A History of Milwaukee Career College’s Growth

Milwaukee Career College began Dec. 1, 2002, with the purchase of a company offering training in various computer applications using computer-based training technologies. MCC kept those programs of instruction and grew. MCC expanded into instructor-led medical veterinary occupations training through our Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant, Veterinary Assistant and Veterinary Technician training programs. Today, we offer veterinary and medical college training designed to fit your specific occupational learning and career enrichment goals.

    Milwaukee Career College Opened

    Milwaukee Career College began Dec. 1, 2002, with the purchase of a company offering training in various computer applications using computer-based training technologies.

    A Medical Assistant training program was added and MCC started working with employment partners to offer job placement assistance.

    Melinda Wilkes Memorial Scholarship

    Awarded to a current MCC student who has demonstrated scholastic achievement as well as above-average potential for success in their chosen field of work.

    ABHES Accreditation

    MCC received its accreditation from the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). MCC added the rest of the scholarship programs: Dream. Achieve. Succeed. scholarship, Imagine America Foundation scholarships.

    Veterinary Assistant Program Started

    MCC created a Veterinary Assistant Program. Students began taking classes to become a veterinary assistant in January.

    MCC created a Dental Assistant Program. Students began taking classes to become a dental assistant in October.

    MCC created a Veterinary Technician Program. Students began taking classes to become a veterinary technician in November.

    The veterinary programs received their initial accreditation status from the AVMA CVTEA.

  • Surgical Techs Training in an OR.

    Surgical Technology Program Started

    MCC created a Surgical Technology Program. Students began taking classes to become a surgical technician in September.
