FINANCIAL
AID
MCC may offer financial aid to help pay for your
tuition. Once you’ve been accepted into our school, all you
need to do is meet with the Financial Aid staff to determine your
eligibility. It’s painless and very worthwhile. We like helping
out when we can.
Here are some of the Federal financial assistance
programs at our school:
Federal Pell Grant:
Provides grant aid to undergraduate students who have financial
needs and meet other requirements for student financial aid. Maximum
award for each academic year will depend on student and program
of training eligibility. Pell Grant is an entitlement. The maximum
award is not dependent on program funding.
Federal SEOG
(Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant)
Maximum award for each academic year will depend on program funding.
This program is for undergraduates with exceptional financial need
(evidenced by an expected family contribution of zero) and does
not require repayment.
Federal Subsidized
Stafford Loan
A low interest loan for eligible students. Repayment begins six
months after the last day of attendance. The government pays all
interest while the student is in school and during the six month
grace period.
Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loan
A low interest loan for independent students and dependent students
not eligible for the Federal Subsidized Stafford Loan. The government
does not pay interest on this loan.
Federal Parent Loans
for Undergraduates
A low interest loan. Eligible parents may borrow for the benefit
of their children.
